This photo was taken from our dining room window. The last few days here in Central Alberta in Canada have been cold, but lots of sun and it looked lovely with the sparkling snow. Luckily today is a turn around to milder temperatures. It will be cold enough at night for the snow to stay, but there is only a little bit and very light snow, so the horses get easily to the grass. They are on a big pasture, but come into the corral by the house for water and salt-mineral and sometimes some grain. We didn't go horseback riding (too cold for us, not for the horses), but it is always nice to visit with them. In the pasture behind are the Longhorn Mamas and the little ones are now in a corral by the barn and are getting hay twice a day as well as their grain. The Longhorn Moms can walk into the corrals, right next to their calves and visit fence to fence, what they do often in the first week. Our bunnies haven't been outside for the last two days, only running around in the house, but today will be o.k. enough for them to spend the afternoon in their bunny run. Monday, November 21, 2011
