Oct. 31. Last October Day at the Ranch !

These last October days have been wonderful, sunny and warm afternoons. Today is Halloween of course, and all the kids will go from door to door at nearby small town of Rocky Mountain House. Our Ben who just turned nine years old this weekend, will be a vampire. A lot of houses will be decorated, some with beautiful carved pumpkins, some with lots of spider webs and grave yards in their front yard. Spooky sounds and moving ghost puppets.
At the ranch: this photo is taken from the bunny run, but all the grass is gone in there and we keep the bunnies in a small, movable run for them to eat the last green grass growing close to the ranch house. Once the snow will cover that last grass, the bunnies will be back in the big run every day. Each night they are safely in the house in their large home.
The nights are cold, the cow's water freezes over each night just a bit, the afternoons have been warm for this time a year, but it will get colder towards the end of this week. No snow yet, which is like, it is easier to have the Longhorns on fall pasture.
