Oct. 17. Fall colors in October !

A very lovely October for us in Alberta, Canada this year. Due to the mild and dry September, the leaves stayed on longer than usual and colors nature with a gold and green mixture into middle of October. The afternoons are nice and warm in the sun, cooler in the shaded forest and cold at night. The water for the cattle has a layer of ice on every morning. Our longhorns and horses are growing more and more thick fall hair to adjust to the colder season. Very nice is, for our animals and us, that all the biting summer insects are long gone !
