Our little Longhorn calf with his mommy already tasting some of the hay. Last week he has been joined by four more calves. They are all so cute. A couple have been born the day a spring snow storm hit us, so we took them into the house for a couple of hours to dry them up and give them a bottle starter milk. One of those calves' mom is a first time calver and doesn't have aboundance of milk, so we continued to feed the little calf-girl one extra bottle a day. She is such a sweety, as soon as we visit the cows, she comes running up and looks for her goodie, then sucks it quickly empty, while her mom watches on, after runs around us to see if there is some more, then runs to her mom for some more milk. This girl is very pretty coloured and if everything turns out well, we are going to keep her as a mother cow at our ranch.
