A very strong Chinook is blowing today. It is a wind from the South West bringing warm air. Temperatures can rise 15 degrees within an hour. Sometimes it is so strong, that one or more of the tall poplar trees on the pastures fall over. I was just visiting our horses, Longhorns and bunnies and this is the movie to it.

The horses you see in the movie are first; Shoshoni, then Mescalero, Duke, Winterhawk's long fur moving in the wind, Winddancer's white mane blowing in the wind, then Dakota standing and resting, Cheyenne scratching her chest, then Little Cowboy interested in the camera and after eating hay, Bear's back with his beautiful white and dark chestnut coat and the last horse in the movie is Kiowa munching some hay.
The first Longhorn is Ribanna, she was born at the ranch this spring two years ago. We keep her as a cow. Then is California, she was born at the ranch six years ago out of Angel (she pasted away sadly due to old age), then I'm petting Secora, she is 15 years old and we bought her as a one year old as one of our first Texas Longhorns. Next up is Prescott, a coming three years old, she had one calf so far and was born here herself. The second Longhorn I'm petting is Nscho-Tschi, she is ten years old.
Our bunnies Buddy and Spots love their afternoons outside in their bunny run. They like to sit up on the sheriff's office or on the rock, nibble on dried leaves and sticks, sometimes run around and jump up in the air and then sit on the lawn chairs to soak up the sun.

Hi all! The picture from the sky (on facebook) is amazing - only one reason why we almost can't wait to come back in fall :-) !
